Install the Canon utilities by inserting the Setup CD-ROM into your computer and running the program called "Msetup4.exe." If you see any security warnings, allow the program to begin. Click "Easy Install" to use the default installation settings.

Place your document in the automatic feeder or on the glass. Note that if your document is not of letter, legal, or A4 size, the document feeder will not be able to handle it properly. In these cases, it is necessary to place the document on the glass.

Press the "Scan" button to open the scan menu. Use the up and down keys to select the computer to which you wish to send the scanned image, as well as the type of document you want to create. The "OK" button will save your selections. Finally, press the "Color" or "Black" button to begin the scan.

Save the image that appears on the computer you selected at the printer. Attach this image to an email message using your email client. Send the email, and your recipient will receive the scanned document.

Canon Printer Won't Print

           

        

  1.  Check the cable connection running from the Canon printer to your           computer. If the USB data cable is not completely connected into either the computer or the printer the print request is not going to reach the printer.

            2. Fill the paper tray of the Canon printer. If there is no paper (or only a few sheets) the printer is unable to print the document. Fill the printer tray and retry to print the document.

            3. Open the document you want to print and select the "Print" option. Click the printer selection and choose the Canon printer. If the Canon printer is not selected as the go-to printer it does not receive the printer request.

            4. Install the Canon printer's drivers. Without the drivers the computer is unable to send the request to the printer. These drivers are available on a driver installation CD that came with the hardware. Insert the CD into the computer and follow the prompts of the installation wizard.

            5. Change out the ink cartridges of the Canon printer. If the cartridges are running out of ink the printer is unable to produce the document.

The Canon MX700 multi-function printer does not have wireless printing capabilities built in, but you can connect the printer to a wireless print server to achieve the same results. When setting up the wireless print server, you need to install both the printer and printer server driver on your computer, as well as configure the print server for the wireless network you intend to use

Insert the installation disc for the MX700 into the computer's disc drive. A installation program will run.

Click on "Easy Install."

Click "Install." On the next screen, click "Yes" to agree to the license agreement.

Click on "Use the printer via USB," then click "Next."

· Connect the USB cable to the computer and the MX700.

·   Click "Next" twice. Click on "Agree" or "Do not agree" on whether you want to participate in the PIXMA extended survey program, then click "Exit."

Configuring the Wireless Print Server and Installing the Driver

Remove the installation disc for the MX700, then insert the installation disc for the wireless print server in the disc drive. An installation program will run.

Click on the button to start the installation. It may say "Next" or "Install Now."

Connect a USB cable to the print server and the printer. Click "Next" if required by the installation program.

Here this manual way step by step to resetting waste ink counter on printer canon iP4000.

1. With the printer plugged in and powered off, press and hold the Resume/Cancel button, then press and hold the Power button. Do not release the buttons. The LED light should be green to indicate that a function is selectable.
2. While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button, do not release the Power button

Condition: The ink absorber is supposed to be full. Message on the Monitor screen or printer LCD: Ink absorber full. Service required.
 
Solutions:

• Ink absorber is full or waste pad inside the printer is almost full
• - Replace printer's Ink absorber pad and reset the ink absorber counter value in the EEPROM.

Print head temperature rise error or Error Code 5200
 
Condition: The print head temperature exceeded the specified value.
 
Solutions:

• Turn off the printer and then turn on if error still persist replace Ink cartridge or print head
